Whom do we believe, Congressman?

“It’s important for people to know that this is phase one of what will be at least a three-phase process.”

Republican Congressman Bob Goodlatte discussing the House Republicans’ proposed replacement for the Affordable Care Act.

“There is no three-phase process. There is no three-step plan. That is just political talk. It’s just politicians engaging in spin.”

Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas saying otherwise.

The Ryan Plan needs at least three steps to make it work. It is a starting point.

Based on recent performance I believe I wil go with Mr. Cotton. I see nothing good in the Republican idea for us average people. Great plan to take from the poor and give to the rich. Great plan for the young and healthy who should remember they will be old someday. A return to the past is not an improvement. I do not trust Mr. Goodlatte to do what is in the best interests of the general population. Actions of a complete ideologue.
