Goodlatte Watch ends, Cline Watch begins

Because today marks the retirement of Bob Goodlatte after 26 years in Congress, it also marks the retirement of Goodlatte Watch.

In the course of a little more than two years, there have been 185 posts at this website, more than 14,000 visitors and nearly 27,000 page views. The number of subscribers via email and WordPress totaled 190.

Goodlatte Watch will remain on-line as a reference, but will no longer be updated. Although almost all my posts were critical of Goodlatte, I tried to be as accurate as I possibly could. I hope you have found it informative and useful.

Please visit my new website, Cline Watch, which will track Goodlatte’s successor as Virginia’s Sixth District representative in Congress.

Gene-Your commitment to holding Bob Goodlatte accountable has been invaluable. It has frequently been infuriating, but that’s not your fault, it’s Bob’s. I am happy to hear that you will be holding Ben Cline’s feet to the fire, too. As the Washington Post says, “democracy dies in darkness”.
Thank you for your considerable efforts.
